If you have USD take that. Don't specifically go and buy USD in Oz as you will have to pay a conversion fee. Money changers in Bali will convert any currency. Exchange rate in Bali for Oz dollars is 8300 rupiah to the dollar. It's about 8500 rupiah to the US dollar.
