that you spend what you do because that is up to you. I don't have to spend a lot to have a great time which I do.
We have been visiting Bali for more than 20 years and go 3 times a year for from 4 - 6 weeks so don't feel the need to buy much "stuff". It isn't about mmmmmm can we afford it. In fact we can and if we see something we want we get it.
I'm just not into accruing more "stuff" and come back with little more than I go with. Even at home I am not into accumulating things. The more possessions you have the more you have to worry about is my policy.
We have friends who like to shop up big and I think that's fine and don't find that perplexing either.
I like eating Indonesian food at small warungs not because I am too mean to eat at top end places but I just happen to enjoy the food and the social side of eating at small warungs. We will eat at Ultimo or Tekor or Seaside at least once during a stay and enjoy them too. They make a change but I don't enjoy them more than a small warung. Mmmm Padang food.......
Oh, from what I have seen of them, I don't think mjk and his wife scrimp on what they want either and they always seem to be enjoying themselves too.
Be perplexed no more max. People enjoy themselves differently and one of they joys of Bali is that there is something for all of us!!!
