but there "lots of shades of grey" right now.

As usual, like when they made the 30 day VOA "extendable", the announcement was made and process implemented without ANY Standard Operational Procedures in place.

Each Immigration Office in Jakarta sees the 30 day VOA extension in a different light. I decided to use it last time instead of Social Visa and what a drama!! They required me to have an Indonesian Sponsor before extending the VOA - some offices accept regular photos whilst West Jakarta Immigration wants electronic ones. Some want to see actual tickets as proof of departure - others don't. It's absolute chaos here in Jakarta.

I'm actually off to Singapore this morning and will return this afternoon using 30 Day VOA - will try to extend to 60 at Airport Counter (as consulate in Melbourne apparently says you can).

Although they have at least 6 sets of my fingerprints and 4 sets of electronic photos on record, I'll be experiencing first-hand this "new" procedure when I return tonight.

Will post my experience tomorrow.

I think though it will be "the luck of the gods" lol
