Groovy Gran and Groovy Pop were deciding what tour to do
this holiday,so as we had been in a fair bit of training
with the shopping bags and personal torture trainer we thought we
could climb every mountain on a mountain cycling tour.
So we book ourselves in.What have I done,oh well here goes.
Next morning Agus picks us up,GG and GP are first on bus.
As we go to do the other pick ups,Im praying there is not going
to be a Lance Armsrtong on the tour.First pick up safe,family
of 4,no worries,... will the next pick up be a fitness freak?
Safe again,Im feeling on top of the world,images of me flashing past
these other bikers puts a smile on my face.
We finally arrive at Kintamani,quick coffee,then its on the bike
ready to take on these other bikers,everyone gloved and helmeted up.
Its time to go,gingerly I take the 1st downhill,I make it to the
bottom,GP gives me a clap,well of course this is easy peasy.
We bike through paddies,villages,give lolly pops to the local kids.
Finally we come to the 1st steep hill,I nearly make it.Then more
scenery,another steep hill and GG struggles this one.We get to the top,panic its not our group.They then slowly arrive one by one.They
had stopped for a flat tyre.We now only have another hour
to the village for lunch.Then Huey decides to dump heavy rain,
and thunder for our last hour.Out come the raincoats,but didnt
make us any drier.After the wet part of our tour,a tired and
wet tour get their lunch,with a well deserved ale.
Would I do it again,yes!Better go and do more shopping then.
