since you and The Divine Mrs H. (oyster shucker extraordinaire) will travel on the same itinerary then you should be able to pool your body weight in the same way as your bags.
It would be a fair system for both of you because you carry a tad more weight than she does but she shops a little here and there. It would also mean you couldn't then whinge (as if!) about her shopping since she will be carrying your extra body-weight, so as to speak.
