one girl flew to Perth and had hers taken, told not allowed. We all flew to Melbourne, my daughter had hers opened and then they had someone come over and check them out and they were passed through. Her friend in another line showed them and the girl just said yes they were fine, no checking or anything.
It all depends I guess on who you get on the day.....
