First time in Bali - you'll love it. Depends how long you're staying and how much you can fit in, but do try to get to the Safari Park. The kids will love it. You can cuddle baby orangutans and tigers and ride elephants. As far as the mozzies go, take your insect repellant and buy some mozzie coils for the hotel balcony at your local mini mart or circle K. Don't worry about anything and just take things as they come. It's all part of the experience. Have a wonderful holiday!
