everyone can have a different experience. I can't fault the guides they were friendly and did a great job. The river was too high so we could not cross to go to the waterfall but I was glad they made the decision not to cross. There were another couple with us and they had more experience so controlled their own horses and they were fine. As we were all beginners we had a guide each who held onto our horses rope to lead them - that was the trouble the horses did not seem to like being so close to the other horse and kept biting, snarling, and jumping at each other. My daughters guide kept her horse on a long lead behind him as they didn't like to be close however one time her horse jumped and bucked and he let go of the rope and that was when she nearly fell off. I was looking from behind in terror (and praying) and he finally jumped off his horse and ran for her rope. I felt unsafe the whole two hours. My guide kept a tight hold on my horse and kept him close so he couldn't go off however they kept biting each other and it was scary.
I did tell the main guy at the end and he said nothing, then filled out the comments form they gave us which he read and still said nothing. I emailed the owner who is an Australian and she is currently in Australia. She apologised and said she would talk to her staff when she returned.
I just feel the horses are not suited for beginners. For confident riders they would be fine and the scenery etc. was fantastic.
