Dont worry, Sanur has tons of great cafes and restaurants. Have not stayed at either hotel but have looked over both, and feel that they are both very good hotels, but the Mecure is situated at the very southern end of Sanur, and a short bus, taxi ride to restaurants.It has a fantastic kids club. From the Puri you can just walk out the front door and you are right in amongst it. Have also used their Day spa many times and its just gorgeous. The Puri is probably a nicer looking hotel, a bit "compressed", Mercure seems to have a bit more space around it. Both absolute beachfront.
