If you are told the captive luwak eats the coffee then no use at all. The quality depends on a wild luwak selecting the very ripest coffee berries to eat and the excreting the beans after digesting the soft cherry like fruit. There is an abundance of fake "coffee luwak" on sale that has never been near the intestine of a luwak. You can even buy a Luwak brand of standard coffee in the supermarket - just a brand name to indicate high quality coffee.
Let the buyer beware.
