Myself and a lot of others on here havn't used cases for years(weigh too much). I have used the number 6 or 7 bali bag which is a heavy cotton long bag with a flower design or batik material, with zips. All the shops know what they are.
They come in all sizes ranging from cabin luggage size up to the number 7 which is big enough to hold a body if you were that way inclined lol.They are numbered eg smaller bags are 3, 4, 5, 6.
I put locked padlocks on the zips of mine and wrap heavy duty garden(cotton) ties around around the outside and I tie the handles together with the same material.
When I first started doing this several years back, I went to Bali with just a back pack and bought 2 Bali bags when I got there.Happy shopping. Cheers Tinggading
