A week isnt long enough to go to all the restaurants I wanted to try!
Mozzarella - really nice food, reasonable price (80,000 for mains approx) cocktails nice, wine not too pricey. Best part of this night was the band. I cant remember the name of the band but they were the best band I have seen in Bali.
Gosha - not really my favourite place. Nothing wrong with the food but not my style of food really, lots of asian type meals (I was sick of those by the time we left)
Lia (Jimboran) - My friend Tracey wanted to take her sister for a seafood meal to watch the sunset. I said I would like to go but didnt really want to pay a fortune for dried out overcooked seafood. Tracey said she went to a place last year at Jimboran that wasnt anywhere near Sharkeys and those places which was really nice and half the price. We tried to find it but couldnt so we settled for a place called Lia which was one of the more basic type open air restaurants. We had 12 jumbo prawns, a large squid, a large red snapper, accompaniments, several beers, an arak attack, a lemon squash and a bottle of white wine. Food was magificent and price was 520,000 for all 3 of us. Amazing - would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
Yutz - very nice steak here, wasnt packed like it usually is, free mini frozen margarita on arrival, free garlic bread - meals about 80,000, very good value.
Blue Ocean - very nice selection of food here, well cooked and great service. Very reasonably priced.
TJ's mexican - Great food, slow drink service but the place was packed. We had fajitas which were really tasty but very spicy. My friend couldnt eat hers. If you dont like chilli ask for no chilli. Very large meals - good value.
Rainbow Cafe - love this place, very basic (including the rat running around making all the balinese girls squeal LOL) mie goreng - delicious, very very cheap and cold beer.
Warung Asia - great local cheap food here too, cold beers and you get a cold wet flannel on arrival.
Tommys - gotta love this place, I had a cheese, pickled onion, chutney platter and asked for corned beef. Sensational and extremely cheap. Cold wet towel here too which was great.
Gateway of India - very tasty food as usual. Portions have shrunk big time. we ordered several dishes to share between 3 and one of them only had about 3 chunks of chicken and when i went to get some there was none there, only sauce. I think this will be the last time we go there :( sadly the value for money isnt there any more.
Cant really remember any other places we ate, was sorry we didnt get to alleycats.
Any questions just ask :)
