Suggest you stay at Griya Santrian. Right on the beach (safe lagoon) with water sport activities close by. Various rooms at this family friendly resort - poolside, garden villas and new deluxe rooms. The 3 pools are always clean, staff are helpful and friendly, laundry just across the road down lane way is great (cheap, cheerful, clean and quick). No kids club but you won't need it during the day and babysitting can be arranged for a night out. Lots of restaurants close by, Bonzai (beachside) is quite a favourite with heaps of people and has an extensive menu. For Italian grab a driver and head to Mossimo's, or the Chinese restaurant across the road from the Hyatt. Use the bemo's (they are fun) and money changers are in abundance. Take big Aussie notes and ask for big notes i.e. R100,000 or R50,000 easier to count and check and recheck. Last week Aussie $ R8130 no commission. Supermarket shopping, beach markets, and small stores, boardwalk with massage and manicure all in close proximity. We (oldies) have done Bali 8 times in 6 years and came home just last week and rebooked again already. Take a driver into Kuta for the day and then at night enjoy the quietness of Sanur. Enjoy but said with green eyes.
