you can always come back and you'll never ever know if you never ever go. However purely from my viewpoint, I don't think the concept of Bali as "Paradise" is quite accurate. It can seem so to us tourists but if you scratch the surface it is as flawed and as unlike paradise as the next place.
I am not saying that to discourage you at all. I love the place too but think it helps to go without rose coloured lenses.
Good luck whatever you decide. There are a few expats who post on bali chat forum (if I am allowed to post that) and they would be full of genuine experience on all aspects.
