Once, I once tried to sell $A at the BCA Bank in Mataram. They would not buy any $A, so I was forced to take a cash advance of $A100 from my ANZ Visa credit card. I was then charged five separate fees, only one of which was paid to BCA. The total of all the fees was $A28.
In my experience, taking a cash advance on an Australian credit card was expensive.
