Shez I have had bali belly twice in 30 years with regular trips to Bali. Sure it helps to drink only bottled water etc but is pretty well impossible to avoid becoming ill by only eating certain foods. I eat mainly where locals eat because I enjoy the traditional food and never have any problems, and have many friends who do the same, while some people will not consider a warung as an option. I would suggest you eat what you feel like eating any enjoy some different flavours new to your taste buds. Had a friend some years back who took his son to KFC for a final meal before going home and ended up being stretchered off the plane in Aus to hospital while his son was fine. I have had other friend become severley ill and we took him straight to BIMC, 2hrs later he was body surfing Legian and enjoying a bintang at sunset. Bimc also fixed my last drama with hydration and a shot - no need to suffer if you do get ill, dont worry just enjoy
