I was fine last summer until 2 days before I came home. Not really sure what caused it but went out for a meal, wasn't feeling too good, ate a little of the starter & when the main course arrived on the table, had to dive out of the restaurant, back to our hotel & was throwing up big time & then crawled into bed. Didn't have diarrohoea though. Felt nauseous & couldn't really stomach anything for a week or more. Eventually visited my doctor who prescribed Omeprazole Capsules & these soon sorted me out. 2 days before I'd eaten a fresh coconut. Was visiting balinese friends & he'd scaled up a tree to get me the coconut but had split it open with what looked like a machete, perhaps it was this i.e it wasn't clean. My daughter was fine, we'd eaten similar meals but she didn't eat the coconut. We ate salads, had ice in drinks, ate at restaurants but not street stalls/vendors. We drunk plenty of bottled water.
