Have stayed in Lovina several times at the following all highly recommended :

"Aditya" nice right on the beach, rent a Deluxe Seaview Cottage and sit on the porch and watch the sunset. The water is about 10 mtrs from your doorstep.

"Adirama" next door to the Aditya they have 4 Seaview Suites with absolute 180deg ocean views. Really nice place very friendly family run and great food too. Most of the family and staff play musical instruments and at dinner do a mini concert for the guests. Their version of The Eagles Hotel California (Hotel Adirama) is so funny.

"Rambutan Cottages" ex-pat host Richard is a really great guy, he and his lovely wife will make you feel very welcome indeed. Only a short stroll up the street from the beach and very nice rooms and villas built around a lovely pool. Good food too.

"Bali Paradise Hotel" this is the pick if you really want to spoil yourselves in Lovina. A small and private place (only 8 rooms), fully renovated with the best and cleanest restaurant kitchen I have seen in Bali, you will find more staff there than guests and boy do they pamper you. Its about $70 a double per night but well worth it for the 5 star service. The rooms are huge with two king size beds in each room, sofa and lounge area and huge balconies looking over the pool towards the beach. If this place was down south it would be more than double the price.
