We hired a car in bali and caught the ferry to lombok, then stayed a few days in Lombok and drove over to other side of Lombok, caught the ferry to Sumbawa and drove down to yo Yo's where some friends of ours who work in the Newmont mine live. It was about a 2 hour drive from the Sumbawa ferry port. Was really good to have the car though because it meant that we could do plenty of exploring.
