For our last dinner in Bali in November son & I went to the original Ketupat in Jl Legain. Hubby & I have been going there for many years but it was horrid on this occasion. The food was mediocre at best. It was a toss up between the Night Markets & Ketupat - Ketupat won but we would've had better & waay cheaper food at the Night Markets.
While the setting at Ketupat is delightful, I really hate having to climb over 30 stairs to the loos (yes, I have counted them many times over the years).
I'll give it another try next trip.
Ketupat is behind Jonathan Gallery in Jl Legian - not far from the Memorial. If you take a cab there be sure to tell them which Ketupat you want - Ketupat2 is on, I think, Jl Sunset.
