Flew Pacific Blue from Perth arriving in Bali just before midnight. No dramas in getting out of the airport fairly quickly and caught a taxi to White Rose hotel where I had previously stayed due to its proximity to Kuta. Bintang, Shower then hit the sack ready for tomorrow.

Day One

Breakfast then got a couple of tickets for Waterbom, gotta arrange and book your tours from booths in the streets, well worth it. Waterbom was good fun as always, I must have done Boomerang and Superbowl at least half a dozen times each. I underestimated Lazy River last time, it was one cool and relaxing ride. Not forgetting my favourite the Smackdown. New slide to be completed in May that looks pretty sweet. Had some cold Bintangs at Stadium bar then got lost around a few back streets walked 10kms with frequent Bintang stops. Back to hotel pool for the afternoon. Hit the Circle K to cart back our carton of Bintang for Nyepi day and had a look at the parade and fireworks Nyepi eve.

Day 2

Nyepi Day. Had a delicious buffet lunch at Bunut Cafe and basically chilled for the whole day up in the room or by the pool.

Day 3

Went for a swim at Kuta Beach. Alot of shops did not open until late afternoon/early evening.

Day 4

White Water Rafting on Tela Waja 16kms was good fun. Organised by my friend Beni it was longer course but not as many waterfalls as my last time on this river. Breathtaking scenery and a good balance of relaxation and exhiliration. Had a good night out at Baba Gumps, love their smoothies, best in Bali imho

Day 5

Our buddy KK took us for a drive out to Padang Padang where we goofed around with a crazy bunch of monkeys then continued along to Ullawatu taking in the views and watching the surfers.

Day 6

Got most of the shopping done today. Clothes, too many presents for the girl back home, gifts for family and friends from the Kuta Art Market, loved that place and clothes and DVD's for myself.

Day 7

Full on day starting at 6am, went trolling out from Nusa Dua for the morning, no hook ups but was real relaxing out on the water. Hundreds of dolphins, some of the smallest I have ever seen danced on the water around our boat constantly. After a bite to eat went to Bali Sfari and Marine Park. A real highlight.

Day 8

Time to go home. Chilled in Prada Lounge then boarded plane 3pm back to Perth. 5/6th's of our way home I and many other passangers were stunned to hear the captain declare that Perth had been hit hard by thunderstorms, hail, flooding and mudslides and we had to divert to Kalgoorile. Thought it was a joke at first, rain being the furtherest thing on the mind of many west aussies, the last thing one would have expected. Eventually got into Perth airport between 12 - 1am.
