Check into your room, then take a leisurely stroll around the park. Watch a show or two, pat/hold a tiger, lion or orangutan and generally get a feel for the place, take note of when the various afternoon shows/tours are on. Then grab some lunch and head back to the room and head down to the great pool for a swim. Maybe head back to the park for a Safari tour or one of the Elephant shows.
Get to dinner relatively early to make sure you get to spend some time with the baby elephant or orangutan they they will have at the restaurant. When we went they had a baby orangutan in the foyer for about 90 minutes and the kids spent as much time as they liked holding and playing with him given that there was only a handful of guests eating at the restaurant that night.
Day 2 you can take your pick of the shows you haven't seen, or see a show for the second time.
We did it this way when we went and found it very relaxing and not too rushed to see everything in a short space of time.
The hotel pool is really good and whilst sitting in the pool you can relax looking back over the rhino and wildebeast enclosure.
