I agree, holidays are more than just restaurants you eat at. They are a compilation of everything - the sights, the smells, the tastes. Everyone's view of what makes their ideal holiday is different.

For some people, the holiday experience is the food/drink they get to experience in another country...for many the idea of not having to cook for a week or two is pure bliss....myself included. And I love reading about a new place to eat the next time I travel.

As for you saying, "I dont actually think that the food in Bali is all that brilliant anyway", maybe try some of the suggestions in the JBR's from foodies and you'll soon see the food in Bali is up there with the rest of the world.

I think some of my most memorable meals are the ones I have had in Bali and I have been fortunate to travel to many parts of the world.

I know I'll get flamed for my opinion - but so be it!
