Meals are often the focal point of a day when you're on holiday, whether at a restaurant or just grabbing something on the run.
It's not just the food but the people you meet and the sights you see. Sitting in a restaurant in Bali watching the sun go down over the beach or just people watching is a great pastime.
There's a restaurant in the shopping complex next to Kartika, I think it is called the Colada, which is terrific for watching the world outside. Lots of locals collect on the balcony outside in the evening and there are games on the beach to watch, not to mention fellow tourists.
In our case it is not just the food that is memorable but the whole social occasion.
