A Stormy day - Friday 19th March
What a lazy day today was! I remove myself from the prone position within my 4 poster, and expertly leap, left leg over right onto the cold tiles. Whipping off my clothes (calm down ok?) I am truly woken by a very cold shower , a hard lump (I said calm down) of soap, and attend to my hair with my head and shoulders. Shaving , I mamage to nick the bottom of my left ear, and such a small cut yileds so much blood. Spraying it with Calvin klein escape is the worst thing possible, but, this truly makes me 100% awake, and I run up the steps like a 15 year old (yes, I do remember those days) from our downstairs bedroom up to the main living area.
Everyone else, is already awake, ( well it is nearly 9.30am) sitting round watching TV, slurping tea or coffee, reading, etc but as I appear, they all comment upon my stunning physique and tan...and the stupid piece of toilet paper wedged between my earlobe and my neck.Actually I think that was all they were commething on
Looking around, not for Germans or French, but just for a tasty morsel or two, I see there are just three peces of brown bread left on the worktop. One for me, one for Mrs W and one for my supremely stunningstep daughter. Spread with extreme precision, the well softened margarine and Vegimite find all corner sof the toast. Washed down with an instant Capucinno, and some nice cold water, I return back downstairs to think about doing some packing
The pool looks too inviting, packing can wait, and I pop into our nice cold bedroom (aircon on 19c) to slip on my pink boardies , grab a towel, and majestically enter the kidney shaped pool. The water is so nice and refreshing, its like having a bath with a favourite friend. I run around the pool in true athletic disposition to grab all the leaves from the overhanging trees and cleanse of insects
I stay in here for over an hour, before I decide to leap out olympically to dry myself down before placing my towel on the lounger and grab half hour or so in the sun. Ipod set on Mettallica's Live S & M ( you still need to calm down) I take in a few more rays to compund the tan that has formed on my silky soft Pommy skin.As nobody else seems to care, I tell myself how good I look , and will be posing at work on Monday morning in my short sleeve white Ralph Lauren business shirt... come on guys, don't tell me you have never done this :)
It's approaching 4pm , and we are soon to leave for Kuta, back to the tailor for another fitting and also to rendezvous at Ramayana with the delightful Stormy. This is always a highlight for me to be able to catch up for dinner. Mrs W is always happy to see her too, and it will be the first time my step children have had chance to meet her. Having finished at the tailor, and finding out that yet more alterations are necessary, we walk around the corner to Kuta Square and have a quick coffe at Gloria Jeans
While I am there , sipping on my well made , albeit expensive flat white, I receive a call from Stormy, she is running a tad late and dinner is re-arranged for 7.30pm. Time soon arrives and I get to the Ramayana and get the waiters to set up a table for 9 people. Bintang already ordered I see Stormy appear in the bar area. Leaping out of my chair with glee, I go and get here and sit her at the head of the table as she is indeed, a guest of honour. She is introduced to the family and we share a wonderul 3 or 4 hours in each others' company
All too quickly, the sands of time run out but before this Stormy finds time to show Mrs W and my mum-in-law the rooms in which she is staying, then, disaster!! Mrs W comes across all queer, nauseous , giddy and light headed. This is just how she reacted the first time she set eyes on me.Not because of my good looks, but because she had some dodgy home brew that I had done
She asked me to accompany her to the Ladies ,(it's been some years since I've had such a request), and to wait for her in case she passes out. I spent ages worrying about what was happening , and so relieved when she appeared from the loo.She then sat down on the grass verge by Aroma Spa , and I fanned her and sprinkled her with cold water. Not good at all , I rounded up the troops and headed for the street to get Mr Bluebird, and a speedy trip home. I managed a quick goodbye to Stormy, and ever the gracious lady she most certainly is, she totall understood our preidcament. Off we go home, Mrs W makes a bee line for the sanctuary of air conditiong and a good night's sleep, and, I'm happy to report that she has woke up this morning with no ill effects.
Today is my final day here :( I'm sad already, but i have to keep my head up and tell myself to look forward to my 7th trip later this year. I still have that packing to do, so i better clear off and get it done before I get a kicking from Mrs W who is now back to 100%
I'll be travelling until 10am on Sunday morning, so I will do my final chronicle instalment as soon as I possibly can.I just know I will be telling you about a very emotional day
Again, thanks for reading, and many mre thanks to my new Facebook friends...Wharfie.xxx
