if this is such a big deal in your holiday, you will be have little enjoyment around the pool.
I hope some one rounds you up, chains you outside their room and plays Deliverance to you all day and night.
You say you will not let it spoil your holiday but you are obsessing over it before you even leave.
Solution: Stay in a private villa or a losmen with NO POOL!
