Anyway, the war comments are from the script of Fawlty Towers where after Basil had been hit on the head and therefore saying and displaying inappropriate actions (frog marching and mentioning the war) to a perfectly nice German family who had the misfortune to stayed at his hotel.
It's a classic episode and often people repeat the lines... I've done it myself over the years.
