Both are in the middle of Poppies 1 (see their web sites). If you want to go cheaper, try googling for hotels along Gang Sorga, which runs between Poppies 1 & 2 at the beach end of Poppies 1. Or Jl Benesari.
La Walon would be better for 2 people sharing - for 2 it's cheaper than Masa with a bigger room, big fridge etc. Nothing flash but good value & a good central location for shopping, eating, going to the beach etc. Good restaurant & an internet cafe. Plenty of young people at both Masa & LaW.
