I met Ketut Liyer many years ago. He was everything i expected a good balian to be. A healer.
There was never any talk of money, or of selling paintings.
A small donation could be concealed within a tiny offering basket and just left with others.
He looked at my husband's back and gave very good advice. He spoke of his life as a balian, how he became a balian, and about herbs that healed.
Palm-reading was just a quick gesture as we were leaving.
I've read the reports about him in the years since then and it has been very disappointing to read them. It was nice to read your positive experience about your visit to see him. Thank you :)
