March 10th to March 14th.

Arrived at Brisbane airport to find we had left a bag behind, after the initial panic we laughed it off and realised we could buy everything there, toiletries etc.
Flew Jet star via Darwin, stopped at the Airport Resort (thanks Wharfie) for a drink and food, this was far better than waiting in the airport we thought. Customs only opened 40 minutes before flight, so it was a quick run through duty free for grog & perfume, and then we were on our way!!
Landed in Bali at 8.30pm, 15 minutes early, seats 1a and 1b, so first off the plane and out to the car within 20 minutes.
Stopped at Hardies for some toiletries, and then we arrived at Sanur Beach Villas by 9.30pm for a Bintang with Ron!

Our first few days have rushed by as they do! We drank far too much on the first day, too excited to be here, lunch at the Ducks Nutz was great and dinner at Char Ming that night was good.
Headed into the Galleria mall the next day but had to come back as ended up with some sort of tummy bug. First time I've had this, I take Travelan, and all I can put it down to is being careless in not washing our hands. Any ways took 2 days to recover properly.
Went into Kuta, looked through Matahari, stocked up on Nevada thongs @ $3, and purchased some Olay face cream @ $11, Revlon makeup @ a 1/3 of the cost of home. We had lunch at Poppies and as usual this was delicious. That night we ate at the Beach Cafe on Sanur Beach, fantastic meal fed 2 of us for $30.

We were lucky enough to se Mt Agung poking out above the clouds as the sky was so clear. It was absolutely amazing, so high above the ocean! Ron says this only happens a few times a year, it was the first time we'd seen it in the 6 years we've been coming.
Yesterday, we headed over to Seminyak SQ, it was ok, some nice dresses sold in the markets, but the actual stores are expensive.
Went up to Geneva and stocked up on cushion covers, placemats and home stuff, I love this place!
We then went and had lunch at Bali Deli. We had not been here for a couple of years and the menu has shrunk, but the food was good.
We purchased some goodies for our feast we will be having on Nyepi day, locked in at Ron's is going to be no problem at all, we certainly won't starve that's for sure!!

Last night we headed over to KuDeTa for sunset drinks and a people watch, amazing place and always so packed considering how expensive it is. Walked down the beach to Gado Gado restaurant, beautiful food and a fantastic setting to watch the sunset. That was our splurge for the week!

More to come later!!
