Yes it is easy to get a taxi off the street.
To get around Juta / Legian / Seminyak,
the easiest and most affordable way is by Taxi.
They are metered (flag fall is just Rp 5,000 (approx 60 cents AU)
and are very cheap for short to medium length trips.
If you want to do more than just taxi type local transferes,
then I can recommend something else (you can send me an email
and I will send you the details ... just remember to remove
the _no_spam bit at the front).
