The active ingredient doing the "stopping up" is Ellagic acid. As for Raspberry Juice in Bali I hear that Circle K stores stock the Sunraysia brand which many here have used???
As I too have a very sensitive tum, I now always take a daily child's dose of Kaopectate/Pepto Bismol/ or your equivalent as a preventative while in Bali. Before I started this regime I was almost always laid low, and needed a doctor's script and visits to sort me out.
As an aside, I travel into Malaria areas in Africa a fair bit. I routinely take Doxycycline (an antibiotic) as my malarial prophylactic. As I never get tummy upsets there I figure the antibiotic is helping my tum too. There is some data to support this, but maybe taking it is an overkill. I would chat to my doctor though as two-three days running to the loo is no fun.
