My post wasn't a recommendation for swimming with wild dolphins in Bali.
These particular pods are used to being chased by boat loads of tourists. I doubt very much anyone could catch up with them long enough to swim with them. The OP can try it if he/she likes.
Nor would i recommend swimming with captive dolphins in Bali.
Both of the above scenarios can be dangerous to tourist and dolphin alike.
Better to go swimming with dolphins in the open sea, and with a tour operator that is respectful of the ways in which we should be interacting with dolphins. Swim with the dolphin tours that have marine biologists on board are ideal. I don't think Bali has that - yet.
I think it'd be a winner if they did.
I think Bali would first need to limit the number of operators doing dolphin watches for wild dolphins to be able to build up a more harmonious relationship with humans than we have with them at present.
