I would like to make a bet that there will be Ogah Ogah parade on Nyepi eve again this year in Kuta.
Last year rumour was no parade (due to up and coming elections and fearing political rivalry) but we watched it in Kuta. Started on Jl Legian heading to Bemo Corner, then up and around and ends on the beach.
Getting transport, hailing a taxi can be near on impossible after the parade. Lots of roads were blocked off and many locals return to their villages.

Day after Nyepi there is a mighty market along the beachfront opposite Hard Rock.
Market caters for locals and tourists. Its a great market with probably hundreds of stalls.

I have spent quite a few Nyepi days in Bali and thoroughly enjoy the day.
If you stay at a smaller hotel, you get to spend time with the staff on a more personal level. They sleep over in the hotel too.
Plenty of activities, swimming in the pool, reading, we had massages last year (as some massage staff are not Hindu).

Dinner is usually buffet style and early as no lights and you must be finished before its too dark.
Take your own torch.
