search of the forum I wrote a Just Back Report from when we stayed at the Risata.
As you walk out of the hotel to your right is the Green Garden Resort and Spa, very good package deals for massage, also to your left is many cheaper spa/massage places, as the other poster said collect all the pamphlets, check the places out and away you go.
Across the road is the SA Cafe, very cheap meals, smallish but tasty, no airconditioning. Green Garden Resort and Spa also do nice meals. Walk through the staff back entrance of the Risata and get yourself the quick way onto Jalan Kartika PLaza, the street that Discovery Mall is on. The restaurants along this strip are very nice, Mudi's and C-Line come to mind.
For dvd's I would walk along the beach brickpaved walkway, or along Kartika Plaza or take a taxi up to the Stadium Cafe. There you will find many dvd shops across the road and next door. For a tailor I would use Bali Brumby's, behind Bubba Gumps restaurant, opposite the Bali Garden Resort Hotel.
We used to bike our laundry to Ana's behind Waterbom Park so no good for you, too far.
