The product I used on my first trip, after being bitten and the deet failing was produced by the Bali Herb Doctor - it's just called Mosquito Repellant and is made from Neem, Citronella and Nutmeg oils and blended with aloe vera, alcohol and water. And yes, it does stink! But it worked.
This trip I was lucky enough to be given 'Insect Repelling Botanical Lotion' From Spa Alila, much more pleasantly scented and primary ingredients are Lavender, Lemon Myrtle and Geranium Oil, and it was effective as well.
I wouldn't mind trying the Bokashi Oil, sounds worth a go.
I tried two deet products on this trip, and this time got a rash from the creams! And was still bitten...I don't think it agrees with me, but others it works so well for. grumble.
