There are different types of contact lenses available, daily disposables, ones you wear each day for a month etc, and generally they are much cheaper in Bali. My suggestion would be to get your prescription done at home, especially if you have not worn contact lenses before, then buy a supply of the recommended type of contact lens in Bali. I don't believe you can get 'toric' lenses or extended wear lenses (the ones you can sleep in) in Bali. Also check out a couple of different shops in Bali as they sometimes have specials like buy 3 boxes and get one free etc. While in Bali I wear the daily disposables as they are more comfortable with the humidity and dust from the roads etc, and you don't have to worry about soaking solutions.
