from bali!

Have been back now for about six months but had a quick trip over just recently, had a wonderful time, met up with smudge who looks well apart from his sick leg. Saw Nicno briefly, she was in Bali to be awarded the "Top Agent" in Australia, i think with Garuda Orient Holidays!! What wonderful confirmation for all the hard work she does, booking people to Bali and giving them wonderful tour advice, etc, Congratulations Nic!!!

Kusnadi, what a fab little gem of a hotel that Ive passed a myriad amount of times in my time spent in bali, but never stayed there, till now, well its in a fantastic location, right near tommys cafe, not a bad little cooked breakfast every morning, BUT dont try to book in for your next holiday (well in school holidays anyway) completely booked out, Nicno tells me they are not really on any travel agent lists because they really dont need to be I guess!

They have return guests time and time again who just book their next holiday then and there.

Melati Beach Apartments, the Coffee Shop, anyone been there lately? I was pleasantly surprised at their new menu and lively atmosphere, food is delish and the staff are just so pleasant, enjoyed many a great meal there.

Took a trip over to Sanur and saw Bloodyron, enjoyed a few bevvies with him, well not me, but everyone I was with, did!!! The more I travel to Sanur, the more I like the place and can imagine living there, compared to Kuta/Legian its just so peaceful and a great place for kids!!!

So yea am back now in Oz but if anyone has any questions about living in Bali, please ask away and I will answer what I can.

New coffee shop just before the above one called Mug Shots, not sure what they are trying to do there, seems to be a bit of a copy of Tommys Cafe menu, unfortunately... dont think we need TWO aussie style cafes in close proximity. Pretty stylish place, and free apple computers to use but NO seating when using them, maybe its changed now, but i think its their way of keeping occupancy on the computers to a bare minimum, if you have to stand for an hour you arent going to be too comfortable are you!!

Saw bloodyron who had a beer in his hand and one for everyone else in the other!! love you ron, the place looks amazing and the more i go to Sanur the more I think what a great place to live, so quiet compared to Kuta/Legian, great place to bring up kids i reckon!!

So yea am back in Australia now, miss bali every day but this is where i need to be for my son and schooling etc, so if anyone is thinking of going over there to live and wants to ask me any questions ask away, my email address is open to you.

regards
