Well they came and fixed the leak from under the bath, by running a new bead of silastic around the bath. It may not have fixed the cause, but it solved the problem!!
Now onto Legian and a bit of a family get together, as we had not been able to be together for different reasons at Xmas and we be arriving at different times and days from different departing points. Daughter has a heavy involvement with the Oaktree Foundation and wanted to onwardly donate some up market pencil cases to the Helen Flavel Foundation. Her brother agreed to bring 60 of them with him from Perth when he came. (That was good of him, because it meant I could stop twisting his arm) Anyway, after the mandatory 2.5 hour wait to clear immigration it was onto customs. The x-ray m/c picks up the pencil cases and the customs officer wants a $50 'fine' paid to him to allow them into the country. This was refused and a sniffometer was produced looking for drugs with negative results. ½ hour later and much argy bargy, the son was worn down, but on his way with 57 pencil cases. The custom officers had asked for and received a pencil case each for their troubles!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's nice to know that they have sorted out the corruption problems at the airport!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friends know that the daughter has been in Europe recently and Ibu has been showing off her latest designer silver necklace that her very generous and magnificent husband bought her in Geneva for a tad under 8000. After her friends finish ooooing and arrrring and wishing their husbands were as generous. One of them asked if it was Geneva in Switzerland?
No, the Geneva shop in Seminyak
What AUD$8000 ?
No Rupiah about 90cents Australian!!!!!!!
Her friends look at me differently now, as if I am some type of cheap skate!?!?
Finally I must mention the Pearl off double 6. We live in remote W A and our restaurants consist of Macca's or Pub Grub, so when you get a French Chef creating meals with all the fresh spices that Bali offers; it is magnificent. I am drooling as I reminisce about the slivered duck breast cooked in a balsamic and caramelised glaze. I know things can be subjective, but the food here is extremely good. A Google search will tell you what 'The Australian' newspaper had to say about them as well.
