I wish it was as easy a saying I'm on holiday "leave me alone" sadly some of us need to be contactable. Friends are not a problem you're right catch up when you get back.
Without a mobile phone I could not leave my fulltime caring role looking after my elderly mother.Years ago I would not have been able to go to Bali.Now, although I very seldom use the phone, having it with me brings peace of mind in case of an emergency and allows me to relax that little bit more.I guess it's more of a "pager" and I imagine for couples leaving children at home it serves the same purpose.I hope it never rings!!
