My brother had a bag stolen. He went to the Tourist Police & they just gave him a lift to the local Police Station. The "fee" required for a report was 100 000. He tried to convince the officer that no "fee" was required, but the officer could not understand English.
After paying the "fee", the officer's grasp of English greatly improved & he was able to fill out report no problems. Even advising my brother to double the claim as you only get half back & reminding my brother about the mobile phone that was in the bag (wink,wink)
