Arrived Bali on Monday the 1st. Virgin flight from Brisbane had no tv, no radios and all purchases during the flight had to be by credit card, no cash( a trial)! A real pain in the butt for multi purchases drinks, snacks etc.
No entertainment on the flight at all meant that for the six hour flight Mrs Hools and I had to talk to each other, it was the longest conversatation that we have ever had but at least after 36 years I found out her middle name is Mary!
Straight through VOA, big improvements meant 35 minutes from the time we landed to get out of the airport.
Straight to the Masa Inn in Poppies1, a quick unpack and straight over to Bali Agung.
We just started our second beer when a load mouth drunk drunk Aussie around 45 who had been walking up and down the street abusing everybody, chasing the street kids with a stick and getting in the face of the local shopkeepers got flattened by another chap( Aussie I think) who put him fair and square on his butt and took the stick off him in the middle of the street.
The drunk got up roared abuse at Sir Galahad, but had second thoughts about carrying it on when he saw that Sir Galahad was not going to back down.
Apparently the drunk has been here for three months and one would have to wonder how long it will be before the locals extract revenge?
Caught up with Bloodyron, Hillary, Peter and Rhonda, Mjk(?) and wife, at SBV and Petra and hubby at the Masa.
That's enough for now have to have a Bintang, just spent half the day walking around Tuban trying to find bloody Warung Sunda.
Hoolz
