do you get an episode of AF? and how often do you have to get it before it's classified as 'pre-existing'?
and finally (sorry to be nosey) but are you on Warfarin permanently or only while you're having an AF episode?
The reason I ask is because I had my first AF experience about 4 years ago, and then another about 2 years ago. Neither of which lasted more than 24 hours and in both cases corrected themselves.
The cardiologist said I should take a mild form of aspirin for the rest of my life as a precaution but other than that said it was just 'one of those things' that happens from time to time, so I'm certainly not in the 'acute' or 'chronic' category of sufferers.
Having said that, and with no signs of anything since then, I was wondering what effect it might have on an insurance claim should I experience an episode when I go to Bali in August.
So I guess the question I have for you Tina (if you don't mind me asking) is, how bad is your AF that you need to add a 'pre-existing' to your policy.
Thanks in anticipation of a reply, and hope you have a 'claim free' Bali holiday.
