AA/Virgin infant question

Hi, Trying to take advantage of the AA sale but wondering can you buy a ticket for an infant not yet born. Trying to ring the call centre but being on hold for too long. Has anyone done this before with Air Asia or Virgin Blue. Obviously they are asking for full name and date of birth which i can't provide yet. Thanks
