to do only a day visit or stay for a night or 2 ? I would highly recommend spending some time in the area exploring.Lovina is our little slice of heaven in Bali,it's our retreat where we totally chill out & do nothing or keep busy if we want to.

hairdressers,massage places,local markets & shops,sites,tours etc.
The area gets considerably less tourists than down south so the hawkers can be persistance to inexperienced 1st timers but most of them have become friends to our family over many years.They Do understand a simple No or Tidak Terima Kasih.We find it amusing anytime when we arrive in town & head down the street out of our hotel.Everyone on the beach road rushes toward us,"New tourists in town",until they get closer & they then run toward us with open arms & we are met with warm hugs & friendly conversation & shared snacks or fruit.They have so little but freely share it with people they know.We don't spend a lot of money with them,they know this because we have been there so many times but they still freely spend their time with us & invite us to their homes.
Lovina has nightclubs & many restaurants but it is also the place you can chill out.Once you have been there & got to know some of the local families & become friends,you will wonder why you have not been there before !
