Did I get ripped for my VOA? 6 day stay

I have recently returned from a 6 day trip to Bali. At the airport when I asked for a 7 day Visa the lady told me no longer available so I paid for a 30 day Visa.

It is really no big deal, and perhaps I missed something on here about it being abolished but curiosity has now got the better of me...Did I get ripped or is this really the case??
