All great ideas. We have a Periplus map which I don't think is to scale because when we used it last year, places that were supposed to be 500m up the road were more like 100m. This meant we got lost but it makes it worth it when the countryside is so beautiful.
Is there a better map of Bali? How long does it take to go down the east coast from Singaraja? It looks like a really long way on our map..... but maybe its the scale thing again.
