I did the above but just headed up the middle stopping at the touristy spots then spent one night in Lovina then came back to Legian down the east coast. There are plenty of places to stop and rest your head on the way, I would have loved the chance to stop over night in Bedugul, Amed etc, but we were stuck with plans around the southern region etc. We saw a fair bit just in 2 days, so if you have a good 8 days to make use of the car, then definately take your time getting around. You'll see plenty in that time, and still have a good 5 days to shop. :-)
