I have read many postings on how hard it is to get pre;existing cover, more so if you have had a heart bypass<some wont cover you if the bypass is more than 10 years old.In Dec/Jan I took out a policy with ONE COVER INSURANCE for my trip to Bali of 13-16 days The cost includingPre-existing cover was $213 with a $2000 excess on pre existing and a $40000 limit on all claims(not a lot if you run into serious problems).Like most they required forms to be filled in by doctors,some even requiring latest cardioligists reports.Today <thanks to a previous posting I insured with A.I.G. phone 1800-257-504 for a total of 16-18 days for KL/pHUKET TOTAL COST $116 FOR COVER AND $60 FOR PRE-EXISTING,NO EXCESS ,NO MEDICAL FORMS AS all the imformation is taken over phone and an approval number is issued.Next step, go online to Chartistravel insurance.com.au .Apply online and Quote the Pre -Existing approval number.Easy as, Dont have to jump through hoops as is the case with most others.Im one happy customer Just hope my Bypass lasts until june AS according to some travell insurers Im on deaths door.
