rooms are fine, nothing fancy but perfectly fine for what you need as befitting a nice middle level hotel.
there are 2 pools - one just past reception and one at the other end near the restauraunt and beach. Th etop pool is barely used and is a rectangular pool. If you buy your own pool toys etc you might be able to have it to yourself.
the bottom pool is not particularly large and has the kiddie are plus the pool bar. It has the capacity to become a bogan hang out although that always depends on the crowd there at the time.
as I said , I don't know anything about the other 2 hotels but the PR may not offer to much - if anything - for 10/u children and it is quite a hike to anywhere for kids.
I pefer Legian but maybe with young kids you would do better in Tuban with the Waterbom, go karting and time zone down there
